All the yoga techniques presented on this website are based on the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, who provided them to us.
Yogi Bhajan was born on August 26, 1929 in Kot Harkarn, in present-day Pakistan. His father was a doctor and landowner. At the age of 16, he was declared as Master of Kundalini Yoga by his teacher, Sant Hazara Singh. During his travels in the Himalayas and stays in yoga ashrams, he met many other yogis. He also spent some years with Karma Yoga in the Golden Temple in Amritsar / India.
He inherited the position of "Mahan Tantric" (master of white tantra yoga) in 1971 when the former Mahan Tantric, the Tibetan Lama Lilan Po, left his body. Yogi Bhajan came to the West in 1969 to teach. Today, more 1,000,000 people around the world practice Kundalini Yoga, White Tantra Yoga, and the Meditations he has taught.
As the first master of his tradition, Yogi Bhajan has brought the old science of life energy from its mysterious isolation. Kundalini Yoga is so popular in Germany that every year more than 350 new teachers are trained in different yoga schools.
Yogi Bhajan left his body on October 6, 2004 in Espaniola, New Mexico, USA.
